TODAY’S CLUB MEETING: group poem about poetry, inspiration, self-expression

Self expression, soul confession,
heart song poetry
verbally in you and me;
it’s nothing but energy with an inner revolution attached,
but in the end we are all involved.
Come tell me what you feel.
The steel of your heart and emotion
from the start you’re coastin’
with the rhythm ‘n’ beat–
get in it:
Poetry.
The sweet notes that linger in eternity,
the words that come with release,
a tie that binds us, this muse that finds us,
from different worlds we share our words,
uniting, deciding to speak our piece.
I know what I want,
but you don’t know what I need
if only you’d see what we see.
So this is why I write it out.
If no one hears me,
I know the paper will be there for me.
Spilling my heart on a piece of paper,
hoping you listen to my soul
as I write these words for future generations,
like a five-headed monster eating the world,
to a melody so soft it can put a baby to sleep.
My core is exploding–
I put out the fire when I contain it.
Breathe from your heart.
Just can’t explain it.
My will to speak is out of control
yet hidden for sure,
but not if we free it.
When we spill, we fulfill; whatever we want, we can be it.
Release the energy inside.
Explode into colors we lustfully eyed.
