Poems Just to Share

This page is for sharing poems (yours and those you just really like and want to share–please let us know who wrote a poem if it’s not yours).

Poems shared here are ones that we don’t necessarily want critiqued–general comments, sure; but don’t tell me that my rhyme scheme is messed up or something–rather they are poems that are “Just to Share.”

  1. Sweet taste love

Love broken, a message crow spoken,

    But sweeter than this,
    sweet taste love,
honey on the wings of a turtle dove,

we’ve got …. love, on the wings,
love on the wings of eagles….
higher, lower, faster .. me heart beating,
    beating, sweet taste love;

    but who’s playing my heart,
who move in me, shaking me… jugeling; my scences……

    breaking me, killing me…
    cursing me …. slowly dying,

    my breaths last kiss,
    your lips, such sweet poison.

love had us…. on the wings,
on the wings of fallen angels….
    falling me, breaking me,
dying me … sweet taste love…

but a touch, a word, sudden feeling.
    flying, soaring , were multiplying.

we’ve got …. love on the wings,
love on the wings of eagles….
soaring higher…. dyfing lower, faster .. me heart keeps beating,

    one word spoken,
    thousand swords broken,
    bleeding me, leading me… dry,
    ..love flowing high…,

    taking Angel flight,
the fludder of humming bird might,

    Sweet taste love

    rocking forward in motion,
dyin way, flowing … the ocean….

    Sweet taste love

    Bitter sweet dove

  2. Knife
    I see silver with blood
    I taste cold and iron
    I heard ripping and tearing
I feel metal, hard, and rough
    I small the dying

  3. Fork

    Sharp points pierce sirloin
    Steel fingers stab and grab
Tines screech as they scrape the plate’s surface
    Knife dances in and out
Drops of gravy at each tip

  4. Poetry for People Who Want to Write Fiction

A dimly lit bar. Smoke haze. A woman in a–
    No, wait. Poem- no setting.

    Think abstract.
    Think– Opposites attract.

A warm rain on a dark day.

    What rhymes with day?
    Way, bay, neigh, sleigh–
    a roll in the hay?–
    Crap.

“Through these three trees freezy breeze blew”
    No. Cheese trees. Flea trees?

    Freezy breeze.

A freezy breeze on the bay
    broke through the rain
of this dark and lifeless day
    in which no blood flows!

Ugh. Can’t I just write prose?
